Vivocell Biosolutions is based in Switzerland, the current operating units are in Graz, Austria and Langenfeld near Düsseldorf, Germany, with state of the art laboratories as well as storage facilities that are licensed according to the tissue safety laws of the particular countries.

The Vivocell laboratories process cord blood in compliance with cGMPs and national standards. In 2001 Vivocell, formerly Lifecord, was the first Austrian company that achieved a pharmaceuticallaw certificate for the collection, processing and banking of stem cells from umbilical cord blood. In addition to the processing and banking facilities, a fully equipped genetics department for the required tissue typing (HLA typing) is established in Graz. Since 2007 also umbilical cord blood from all over Germany can be processed and stored in Langenfeld near Düsseldorf.
